Services — Fitted Wardrobes, Kitchens & Staircases

Fitted wardrobes

Built to measure for your room, not squeezed into standard boxes.

Made in oak and ash

Every wardrobe is built in the workshop to the exact dimensions of your bedroom. We work around sloped ceilings, alcoves, awkward angles — the quirks of older harbour houses that flat-pack can't touch. Real joinery joints, real timber, fitted on site by the people who built it.

Designed around your space

We start with a home visit to measure and understand the room — the light, the walls, what actually fits. The quote comes after, and the build timeline is usually six to eight weeks. That patience is how we get it right.

Kitchen units

Solid timber cabinets made to your kitchen's actual size.

Built to fit your kitchen

We don't install modular units designed by committee for a generic kitchen. Oak and ash units are built in the workshop to the dimensions of your actual space — width, depth, height, the wall that's slightly crooked. Real joinery joints, not cam locks and dowels.

A kitchen that lasts

Solid timber kitchens improve with age. They can be repaired, adjusted, refinished. The work starts with a home visit, a measured quote, and a build slot usually six to eight weeks out.

Staircases

Replacing a worn staircase or building new for an extension.

Bespoke in oak and ash

Whether you're replacing an unsafe staircase in a nineteenth-century terrace or building new for a loft conversion, we design and build to fit the house. Attention to detail, matching existing joinery where it matters, built to last another hundred years.

Built properly the first time

A staircase is a big job and a long-term commitment. We start with a home visit, provide a clear quote, and build on a timeline that usually means six to eight weeks before installation.

Sash window repair

Restoring the sashes on terraces near the docks and across town.

Specialist work in the harbour streets

Many of the older terraces have original or period sash windows that need care — repairing frames, replacing weights, reglazing, making them work properly without losing what makes them worth keeping. It's a craft in itself.

How we work

Every job follows the same careful path.

Home visit and measure.

Home visit and measure. We come to you, measure the space, understand the room and what you need. No obligation, no fee.

Detailed quote.

Detailed quote. After the visit, we provide a clear price for the work. The number we quote is the number you pay.

Built in the workshop.

Built in the workshop. Everything is made on site to your exact dimensions in solid oak or ash. Quality takes time — usually six to eight weeks depending on demand.

Fitted and finished.

Fitted and finished. We install the work, make sure it's right, and hand over something built to last.

Materials

We work in solid oak and ash.

Oak

Durable, fine-grained, takes a beautiful finish. Oak grows slowly and is built to last. Darkens with age and improves over time.

Ash

Strong, flexible, pale grain. Ash responds well to staining and finishes cleanly. Often preferred for staircases and doors where resilience matters.
